The one-person chairlift takes you from the town centre of Windischgarsten up to the mountain station. Up there, a unique Panorama Tower offers you a breath-taking view of the surrounding mountains. At the nearby mountain restaurant with its spacious sun terrace, you can fuel up with some traditional delicacies before you head out on your adventures!
The 1,523 metres-long Summer Toboggan Run with 16 turns takes you from the Wurbauer mountain station down into the valley. But be warned: The airflow will make a mess of your hair! On a one- or two-person toboggan, you’ll experience tons of fun and action – and all that on one of the longest summer toboggan runs in Europe! 233 metres of difference in altitude have visitors of all ages squealing with excitement!
Good to know: On rainy days, the toboggan run is closed for safety reasons.
You’ll experience an even greater adrenaline rush on the Alpine Coaster! In a two-person toboggan, you whoosh down into the valley along an 800-metre-long tube system. You can reach top-speeds of up to 40 kilometres per hour! Three loops, seven banked turns, three jumps, six bridges and ten waves await you – sometimes up in lofty heights. The route of this weatherproof Alpine Coaster takes you through nature as fast as you decide – or as fast as your nerves can handle.

Pretty cool: The Bike-Center Pyhrn-Priel is right at the valley station of the Wurbauerkogel. Along with a bike rental, it also offers a washing area for your bike, a training course with pump track and changing rooms with showers. Have you ever shot with bow and arrow? At the Adventure Mountain Wurbauerkogel, you’ve got the opportunity to do so! After warming up at the archery range, you can wander on various routes across alpine pastures and mixed forests. Along the way, a number of 3D-targets like chamois, foxes and bears await. Perfect for families!
The Bannholzmauer wall is located in the northern region of the Wurbauerkogel. This impressive rock face is known for its via ferratas. On four via ferratas from easy (A/B) to extremely challenging (D/E), you can test your climbing skills. Once you’re up at the summit, you’re rewarded with a stunning view of the Veichltal valley all the way over to the foothills of the southern Sensengebirge mountain range. You’re required to wear special equipment (helmet, harness, suitable shoes and gloves). The Via Ferrata Park is open to the public.
